A simple introduction

What is Freemasonry?

Freemasonry is a fraternal organization that encourages members to improve themselves, support one another, care for their communities, and practice enduring values such as integrity, charity, respect, and personal responsibility.

It is not a religion or a substitute for faith. Its ceremonies and traditions are private, while its values, friendships, and community work are appropriate subjects for public conversation.
